AN undertaker is furious with thieves who ripped off his wing mirror casings while he was at work.

Matthew Pardoe now wants to find the criminals who targeted his green Vauxhall Astra, when it was parked in Lansdowne Crescent, Worcester.

The incident happened while the 28-year-old was working at A V Band Funeral Directors, in St Nicholas Street, Worcester, on Tuesday, June 13.

Mr Pardoe, of Drovers Way, Droitwich, said: "Someone stole my side mirror casings, my front window wipers and my roof clips.

"As I was walking back to my car I thought 'something's not right here'. It's a disgrace.

"I'd been at work all day. It happened between 9am and 5pm. I'm working hard and bought that car out of my hard earned money.

"It will cost £60 for the wing mirrors and £20 each for the wipers. £100... it's a day and a half's work for nothing. I earn £300 a week."

Mr Pardoe said he was surprised that the thieves took his mirror casings as he has never seen another green Vauxhall Astra before.

"It's a rare car. There must be another green Astra out there," he said.

He added that he was lucky it was not raining when he got back to the car, as he no longer had any wipers.
