PLANS for a new Worcester City FC football stadium at the city's Perdiswell Park are finally set to come before planners next week.
The scheme, first drawn up as far back as April 2014, has split opinion in the city – with petitions both for and against the scheme attracting 1,000 names each.
Some say the site is the ideal location to 'bring city home' but others say Perdiswell is the wrong location for a stadium and that it would cause gridlock on the surrounding roads.
Planning officers are recommending the scheme is approved when it goes before Worcester City Council's planning committee at the Guildhall at 1.30pm on Thursday, June 22.
