A MAN has been charged with attempted murder following a serious stabbing in Worcester earlier this week.

As previously reported, a man received "very serious" stab wounds to his stomach and chest during the incident in the St Martin's Gate area of Worcester on Sunday night, (June 11).

Ethan Bell-Milne from Himley Street, Dudley, has been charged with attempted murder, section 18 wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 19-year-old appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court earlier today, (June 16). 

The case was transferred to Worcester Crown Court, where he will appear on Monday, July 10. 

Bell-Milne remains in custody.

A 33-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man, both from Worcester, who were arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting attempted murder have been released without charge.

A police tent was erected at the scene and the area was cordoned off.
