PEOPLE living in Worcestershire are being reminded that they can now book appointments to see their GP, request repeat prescriptions and view parts of their personal health records online.
Patients can access this free service from a tablet, mobile or computer, which means they will no longer have to call or visit their GP to carry out these routine tasks.
To apply, visit your GP surgery and complete a registration form. Photo identification and proof of address will be required.
Log-in details will be provided through the post and residents can start accessing health services online straight away.
Dr Kiran Patel, medical director for NHS England in the West Midlands, said: "At a time when we are handling more and more of our everyday activities via the internet, from shopping and banking to booking holidays and travel, it makes perfect sense to have access to health care services online.
"If you’re not already registered for GP online services, pop down to your GP surgery and get the process started today."
To find out more about GP online services, contact your GP or visit www.nhs.uk and search 'GP online'.
