A MAN has appeared in court charged with three counts of possessing a bladed article in public.
Daniel Bebb-Jones, 23, of Merton Close, Kidderminster, appeared before Redditch Magistrates this morning (June 21).
Bebb-Jones will appear at Worcester Crown Court at a later date and has been remanded in custody until July 24.
Local residents said Bebb-Jones was the son of Marcus Bebb-Jones, a professional poker player who was jailed in America in 2013 after admitting killing his wife Sabrina in 1997.
As part of the investigation, homes were briefly evacuated in Merton Close when police officers, a bomb disposal team and counter terrorism officers went to a home in the road.
West Mercia Police linked the evacuation with the arrest of a man carrying knives and an axe in Kidderminster on Saturday but have since said that the case is "not linked to terrorism."
