UPDATE: A man in his 20s is in a 'serious condition' following a crash on Saturday night.

The crash opposite McDonalds in Millenium Way saw the man trapped and he suffered head and pelvic injuries.

An air ambulance attended although he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham by land ambulance.

The medic from the air ambulance did travel with him however, with a senior paramedic officer, a merit doctor and another paramedic doctor.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said that he was in a 'serious condition.'

ONE person was taken to hospital after a "serious" crash.

Firefighters were called to free the injured person who was trapped in the car after a crash between a BMW and a lorry near the entrance to the Vale Business Park in Evesham.

An eyewitness said there were several police officers, paramedics and firefighters on scene as well as an air ambulance.

A spokesman, from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, said: "It was a crash between a car and an HGV.

"One person was trapped and we had to cut them out of the vehicle.

"We were called at 6.47pm on Saturday to the Vale Business Park.

"We sent two appliances from Evesham, one from Pebworth and one from Droitwich.

"One person was taken to hospital."

Toby Kempton, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service Group Commander, tweeted this picture from the scene with the message: "Evesham & Pebworth crews attending serious RTC.

"HWFRS ask all drivers to take extra care in this inclement weather."
