TICKETS are now on sale for an evening to support a campaign to raise £60,000 for a new bereavement suite at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, organised by a Stourport couple who suffered the devastating loss of their stillborn son.

Becky Yarranton and her partner Paul Dancyger have organised a fundraising evening to support and raise funds for the Maternity Bereavement Suite appeal which will take place on Friday, November 17, from 7.30pm, at Spring Grove House, at West Midland Safari Park.

The couple are supporting the appeal, having benefitted from the use of the existing facilities in the hospital's maternity department in January 2016, following the stillbirth of their son Henry.

Tickets for Paul and Becky's event cost £25 and the evening will include a buffet, disco, live music from Tale Lights, Just Charlotte and Kezza Belle, plus a raffle and auction - which the couple are appealing for donations or prizes.

The new suite will provide a space for parents who have experienced a stillbirth or the loss of their baby post-birth, where they can grieve their loss.

Speaking to the Shuttle in February, Becky said: "We found the existing suite bereavement suite at Worcestershire Royal Hospital such a special place. We did not know of such a special place until we lost our baby.

"We were welcome to stay there as long as we wanted, to spend time with our baby and family in privacy.

"The midwives were amazing - they couldn't do enough for us. The most amazing person of all is Trudy Berlet - the hospital's bereavement midwife.

"We can't thank her enough. Without this amazing lady, I don't know how we would have gotten through the past year."
