TRAVELLERS have moved out of a supermarket car park in the city.
There were two caravans in the Tesco car park in Mill Wood Drive, Worcester, yesterday.
The travellers had left the site by this afternoon (August 9) after Tesco took action to evict them.
Cllr Andy Roberts, who represents Warndon Parish South on the city council, said he had not received any complaints about the travellers.
"I went down there at about 3pm and they had gone," he said.
"Whenever possible we try to be tolerant as long as there's no anti-social behaviour and after a few days they go.
"We have got a traveller site in the local area in Offerton Lane [Waterside Park Caravan Site] and we don't get complaints about that."
One of the travellers who was staying in the Tesco car park called on the county council to provide more transit sites for his community.
Cllr Roberts said he was 'not unsympathetic' to the request, although he added that the city is already congested and there is not much space left.
