A TRUCK driver from Worcester is lacing up his trainers to take part in a popular run.
Ade Davies, aged 47, from Battenhall, will take on The Great North Run on Sunday, September 10.
The HGV driver wants to raise as much money as he can for Prostate Cancer UK.
Mr Davies said he hadn't run in any events since completing the London Marathon in 2009 but decided to dust off his running shoes after a close friend was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.
He said: "It's been hard going fitting in the training along with work commitments but really looking forward to the run."
Mr Davies has set up a Just giving page and anyone who wants to support him can visit justgiving.com/ade davies
