TRAFFIC is facing further delays near Worcester Trade Park as engineers announce work to repair a burst water main will take longer than initially expected.
Work was due for completion by the end of today (Wednesday, August 16) but now the road is expected to return to normal by the end of Friday, August 18.
Four-way temporary traffic lights, installed at the junction of Sheriff Street and Tolladine Road, Worcester, will remain in place throughout to allow the engineers to work safely.
Severn Trent have been working to repair the pipe since Sunday, August 13.
A Severn Trent spokesman said: "This repair is more complicated than we first thought which means we need some extra time to complete the work.
"We’re really sorry for the added inconvenience this causes and we hope to have the repair finished and the road returned to normal by the end of Friday."
