FOUR men have been arrested after a man was taken to hospital with 'serious injuries' after an assault in Evesham.

Police were called to an address in Thorn Lea, Evesham, yesterday (Tuesday) evening after reports that a man in his 40s had been assaulted.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

Four men have been arrested. A 23-year-old man from Evesham has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Three men, a 24-year-old man from Evesham, a 28-year-old man from Birmingham and a 45-year-old man from Birmingham, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone that witnessed the incident just after 10pm. Anyone that has any information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 784 of 15 August.
