A HEADTEACHER has told how he has been waiting for A-level results as nervously as his students this year.

The results are out tomorrow and students across Worcestershire will find out what their futures hold but it has also been a tense time for Neil Morris, head at Christopher Whitehead Language College.

This is the first set of exam results for the school's sixth form since it started two years ago.

Mr Morris said: "I've been doing this a long time. It's my 15th year and I'm more nervous about the results this year than I've ever been.

"There's been a lot of changes."

Mr Morris said changes to A levels meant the results to 13 of the qualifications were now solely reliant on how well students performed in exams on the day, rather than any coursework.

He said: "We are at the mercy of the exam board and these are kids who have been brought up with coursework.

"We've never known a year of change like this.

"I know how hard the staff have worked and how hard the kids have worked.

"We just hope that their hard work is rewarded."

"I will be very pleased if the kids reach their target grades and get what they deserve as they've worked very hard."
