PERSHORE Tennis Centre’s women’s A team have won the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Summer League Division One title for the first time.
They beat Stourbridge A and B, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Worcester, Manor Park and Leominster on the way to win seven straight matches.
The win over Bromsgrove in their final match secured the title for Pershore.
Women’s captain Sarah McCormick said: “We knew we had to play our best to win the match but I wanted the team to also enjoy it and be proud of what we had achieved this season.
“I am so proud of this team. They have played from the heart and won matches from seemingly impossible situations.
“It’s just brilliant and an amazing honour for Pershore.”
