A WORCESTERSHIRE teenager claimed the Stepping Stones 138cm Championships final at the British Showjumping National Championships.
Ella Hall, 12, of Hartlebury, won at the NAEC Stoneleigh riding her 11-year-old gelding Calusa.
Out of the 17 through to the jump-off she set the time early on and held her lead throughout.
“I competed at the event last year and came sixth in this class so it was great to win this year,” said Hall.
“It went really well. He is a great jumper, is really careful and loves the turns but is also good on the strides."
Hall has had Calusa in the family for the last four years.
“He has been really consistent throughout the whole season. I hoped for this success but I didn’t actually think it would happen,” she added.
