The Worcester News Jobs and Careers Fair in association with Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust will take place in the Guildhall, Worcester, on Thursday, September 14th

Whether you are looking to embark on a nursing career within the NHS, return to the profession or looking for opportunities in a new organisation, event sponsor, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has a range of exciting nursing opportunities available across the Alexandra, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals.

Jayne Earle began her career at the Trust as a Healthcare Assistant in 2001 and hasn’t looked back. “My experience has been amazing and I’m so grateful,” she said. “I started my career as a HCA on the vascular ward in Worcester, before having the opportunity in 2013 to move into a screening role. However, I’d completed my Sociology degree years ago and always wanted to complete my nursing training.

“A couple of years ago an opportunity arose for those with a degree to apply to complete a fully funded fast-track nursing degree at the University of Worcester - so I applied and was successful! I started in February and I am loving every minute. It’s exciting, challenging and a real privilege to be able to complete my training later in life.“

Jayne praised the Trust for supporting her throughout her career. “The Trust has been fantastic – both in terms of flexible working when I had my children; providing opportunities to try different roles; and now supporting me to become a registered nurse. On top of all of that, the teams that I have worked with have all been so lovely. I can’t recommend it enough.”
