AT least 30 fish have been found dead after swimming in polluted water in Worcester.
The Environment Agency were called to Laugherne Brook yesterday (September 5) following a report of pollution in the water.
It is currently raising oxygen levels with hydrogen peroxide to help the fish in distress.
Dave Throup, manager at The Environment Agency, said the Agency was aware of what had caused the pollution but he refused to reveal what it was.
An investigation is ongoing.
Mr Throup said: "We were called to the incident yesterday and found the source and managed to stop it.
"We thought that would be the end of it but we came back today and found a lot of fish in distress.
"There are are upwards of 100 fish struggling and we've found 30 or so dead fish.
"We will certainly be here for the rest of the day and probably tomorrow.
"We need to check further upstream to see if anymore fish have died."
