A REVEREND will say her goodbyes at a messy church event in St Andrew's Church, Droitwich.

Reverend Beverley Jameson is leaving to become Rector of St Mary the Virgin Lymm in Cheshire, so the event will be a goodbye party and will also celebrate the second anniversary of messy church.

The event takes place from 10am until noon on Saturday September 16.

Rev Bev Jameson, team vicar at Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree Dean of Women’s Ministry Diocese of Worcester said: “Messy church will always be remembered as one of my happiest times in the parish with all the children families and wonderfully supportive helpers.

"We now have an average 50-70 children coming every month.

"Together with mums dads and other adults over 150 people fill St Andrews Church. It is a great way to meet one another form friendships, have a great time making crafts and hear about Jesus.

"The volunteers who help run messy church love it as much as the families do and will ensure it carries on after I leave. Come long and join us for a really brilliant time and I wish messy church every success in the future”

Visitors will make birthday badges, funny face cupcakes, ice cream magnets and streamers. There will also be songs, a short talk and a free lunch.
