POLICE officers and paramedics helped a man who suffered cuts to his neck.
The patient, who is in his 20s, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital in an ambulance.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Hylton Road, Worcester, by West Mercia Police at 9.26am today (September 12).
A police van was also sent to the scene but left with the ambulance at about 9.48am.
An officer at the scene said they had helped a man who hurt himself.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "At approximately 9:15am today West Mercia Police received a report regarding concern for the safety of an individual near Hylton Road, Worcester.
"Police attended in conjunction with the ambulance service."
