BOSS John Snape hopes City's Tom Fishwick will be ready to face any storm brewed by Littleton having survived Hurricane Irma.

The Worcester defender was in the United States to attend a wedding when the disaster hit but thankfully emerged unscathed.

Fishwick had been due back for City's whirlwind 8-0 victory over Quorn on Saturday but should come back into contention for the club's Polymac Packaging League Cup bow at Five Acres tomorrow (7.45).

"I spoke to Tom yesterday morning and he got back safely which was great to hear," said Snape. "Family occasions crop up at every level of non-league and he did tell us before he signed.

"He got delayed coming back because of the hurricane and the wedding itself got cancelled so he hasn't had a great time of it.

"He had a torrid time because of that but will be involved. There will be a few for us to look at in readiness for Saturday's FA Vase match at Boldmere."

Alongside Fishwick, new recruit Alex Tomkinson, Sam Yeomans, Kieron Burrell, Kyonn Evans, Josh Harris-James and James Baldwin are all in line for starts.

"We have some great youngsters and some of them will be blooded," said Snape.

"That's the idea, we want the local talent to come through and a lot of them will be involved.

"Sam has come back from injury, a young lad that came through the youth set up and the college. I'd like to have a look at him.

"I hope some of the supporters can come over and have a look at the talent we have there. Competition for places has gone up to another level, we want to work and progress.

"We want to win every game and we know Littleton have some decent players and will be up for it. It will be a good test for the lads."
