DROITWICH Spa BG under 21s picked up back-to-back points for the first time with a 1-1 draw at a good Sutton Coldfield Town side despite going down to 10 men.

They followed up a 2-0 win at Highgate United in the Midland League Under 21s West Division.

Missing full-backs Tom Dale and Reece Lothian and the previous week's man of the match Hugo Morris, Spa took time to adapt to a large 3G pitch.

But they went ahead when Jamie Callaghan met a Dan Mcardle corner with a fine header.

The hosts took control and Spa conceded from a corner after a poor punch by keeper Luke Wall fell for a Sutton player to stab home.

New Droitwich signing Callum Morris shot straight at the keeper before a goalless second half.

But Spa had to play with 10 men for around 40 minutes when the returning Dec Andrews picked up his second yellow card for pulling a player back on the edge of the box.

Spa's work-rate and desire prevailed helped by a great double save from Wall.

Sixth-placed Droitwich host Evesham United on Saturday at King George's Playing Fields (10.30am).
