A MAN has branded thieves who stole a motorbike ‘heartless’ as he calls on readers to help reunite his son with his pride and joy.

The distinctive, baby blue Yamaha DT 125 supermoto bike was stolen from the bike bays by the Hive in Worcester on Wednesday (September 20) between 10am and 2pm.

The bike which has the registration KD56 BBN, has a chrome coloured DEP exhaust system, black and blue spoke covers, Excel supermoto rims and SM panels.

Owner Luke Cook, aged 21, paid £2,000 for the bike second hand, selling two cars so he could afford it. He had only had the bike 10 days when it was stolen.

Nicholas Cook of Warndon, Worcester, the owner’s dad, now wants Worcester News readers to help police find the bike so they can make his son's day.

Mr Cook said: “My son is really angry. He had a couple of cars and he sold them so he could buy the bike. Within 10 days of buying it the bike was stolen. I believe they stole his bike because it stands out.

“This was my son’s pride and joy. He kept it spotless and really looked after it. It was his baby. He’s a hard-working lad who works full time. He didn’t deserve this. They’re heartless to take the bike from him.”

Further details of the bike are the engine number E117E0022832 and chassis number VTLDE0620.

The matter has been reported and Mr Cook urges anyone with information about the theft or the bike’s whereabouts to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident reference CA/85127D/17.
