READERS have reacted with anger at bullies who violently assaulted a schoolgirl in a Worcester Park.

We previously reported that Ava Brookes was videoed being repeatedly kicked and punched by two girls in prolonged assault in Pitmaston Park.

The video of the attack was said to have been taken by a third girl in the 'group' and was then sent to Ava's phone.

On our Facebook page, more than 140 reacted to the story, 64 people shared it and we were inundated with comments with many readers calling for the girls to be ‘named and shamed’.

Sam Barriscale said: "Don't hide the bullies’ faces, if they're brave enough to gang up on a girl they can take the results."

Donna Bird said: "Couldn't agree more. Show the vile bullies faces."

Sarah Jane Hawker said: "Name and shame them."

Tracy Williams said: "If that was my child I would humiliate her myself she would be marched around to the other child's home and made to apologise to her and her parents and she would lose all privileges i.e. Going out, mobile phone, computers etc for the unforeseeable future.

“And, I would ask the police to lock her up in a cell for a few hours to scare the life out of her. Nasty little madams."

Kate Handley said: "These aren't little children, they know the difference between right and wrong and should be punished. Something like this should follow someone. I'm sorry but I wouldn't want someone like this looking after vulnerable people in years to come. They need a criminal record."

Chloe Smith said: "Children know right from wrong at this age and should have consequences. They have seem to have got away with it and no come back. We are such a soft society these days it's unreal."

Sarah Jane said: "This makes me angry watching, I hope those girls get dealt with properly, nobody likes a bully. I hope the girl on the receiving end of these two nasty vile kids gets all the help mentally and support from her family she can."

Nathan Vaughan said: "That poor little girl. Kids are vile, social media should be banned for people under the age of 18 at least, as for those bullies lock them up. What happened to cane at schools and the slipper?"

Adam Brighton said: "The parents should be fined heavily for their actions. It might make them consider ways to teach their off spring some decency and humanity. It is not ok and has reached an excessive level that needs to be addressed at home as the schools are severely restricted in what they can do."

Dally Gill said: "Those girls chose to put their hands on her. They knew actually what they were going to do. They should be held accountable for their actions.

"No one has the right to put their hands on anyone. Just like no one should think it's ok to video a young girl being attacked by two bullies."

Amanda Barrie said: "What nasty vicious girls, what happened to being kind to each other? I would be so disappointed if that was my daughter."

Some readers praised Ava calling her "brave" for sharing the video but others felt this would only exacerbate the situation.

Kirstie Olivia Emery said: "The victim wants the video to be shared. She wants to create awareness. She's incredibly brave."

But Gillian Bullock said: "Promoting this will only give a bigger ego to those who did this. It’s wrong in every sense both doing it and sharing it."
