SIR - Your front page story on traffic chaos is both accurate and soluble.
Routes in my ward such as Rainbow Hill, Tolladine and Brickfiekds Roads are clogged.
But throughout this the man in charge of the county's highways, usually an ever present in your pages, is nowhere to be seen.
County Councillor Alan Amos appears to not be interested.
We all know the problems that traffic congestion causes for health, the economy, the environment but we need strategies to address it and create a viable future for our roads across the city and county.
Yet under the Cabinet Member for Highways, the timetable for the Local Transport Plan revision has slipped and we must wait even longer for an agreed way forward.
Let's hope the councillor's absence from the media means he is working on a real solution.
Councillor Adrian Gregson
Rainbow Hilll ward
