A VINTAGE vehicle event held by a county business raised more than £900 for a cancer charity.
Macmillan Cancer Support in Hereford received a donation of £920 from the Oakchurch Farm Shop in Staunton-on-Wye following the event which took place in the car park and adjoining field at Oakchurch.
Entry was free but various raffles and tombolas helped raise the cash.
Sheila Swain, who runs the store’s jewellery department and organised the event, said: "We were absolutely inundated with people wanting to bring their tractors, lorries, cars, vans, motorbikes and even a DeLorean car.
"We couldn’t believe how the public turned up in such great force on the day. We can’t thank everyone enough for their support – the vintage vehicle owners who took the time to be here and everyone who came along and put their hands in their pockets to help us raise the funds.”
The Oakchurch fashion show in aid of Little Princess Trust takes place next Monday (October 9).
