HEAVY traffic has been causing delays in Worcester city centre this morning.
Hylton Road, Tybridge Street and Castle Street are some of the areas affected by gridlock.
Inquiries to police and the Highways Agency have not yet revealed any reason for the congestion.
Worcestershire County Council says it is not aware of any roadworks, but says the city centre is showing up as red on the traffic systems which suggests it is just particularly busy this morning.
Just outside the city, slow-moving traffic was reported on the A4440 Hams Way at Powick, but the latest reports indicate that the congestion is easing there.
