A 28-year-old man has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Martin Allen of Nibley Close in Worcester, appeared before magistrates in Redditch today (October 10) and has been remanded in custody.
He will appear before Worcester Crown Court on Monday, November 13.
We reported yesterday that armed police were called to reports of a man with a gun at the Fairfield Centre, Carnforth Drive, Worcester.
West Mercia Police later revealed the gun was fake.
Details also emerged about how Fairfield Primary School went into lockdown as police swarmed to the library.
All internal doors were locked and blinds were drawn with children told they were taking part in a safety drill in a bid to protect the children.
