YEAR three girls at Chaddesley Corbett’s Winterfold House School enjoyed their first taste of hockey in an under eights festival.
The successful competition also saw Royal Grammar School Worcester The Grange, RGS Springfield and King’s School Worcester St Albans participating in three rounds of 10-minute matches.
The emphasis was on learning the game and experiencing match conditions.
Winterfold had 11 girls and many substitutions allowed everyone to have a fair go in the seven-a-side games.
