GENEROUS youngsters at a Worcester primary school helped spread community spirit by delivering food parcels to people in need.

Dines Green Community Primary School and Nursery collected a vast array of produce in celebration of the harvest festival and children in Year 5 then delivered parcels to nominated people living nearby the school.

A school spokesman said: "In a show of real community spirit, the children from Year 5 delivered the harvest parcels to locally nominated people. The children thoroughly enjoyed their experience and it was very clear that all the people who received a parcel were thrilled with the act of kindness.

"Can we take this time to thank all of the families of the school for their generosity and kindness regarding the donations made, and finally the children for taking the time to deliver the parcels. It was a lovely morning, enjoyed by all."
