A 27-year-old Worcester woman has been warned she could be facing a jail sentence after pleading guilty to an assault charge.
Adell Thomas, of Little Chestnut Street, admitted assaulting Kelly Godfrey and causing her actual bodily harm on April 15 this year when she appeared at Worcester Crown Court.
Philip Vollans, prosecuting, said the offence happened in the victim's own home.
He said Thomas had previously been evicted from a bail hostel in Birmingham due to her behaviour and had now moved to an address in Worcester.
Recorder Nicholas Jones said it was a serious case involving "nasty injuries" which had taken place in the victim's own home.
He adjourned for sentencing until October 31 to find out more details about her recent criminal record and for an updated pre-sentence report.
She was granted bail with an electronically tagged curfew from 7pm to 7am.
Recorder Jones said this was no indication of the type of sentence she would receive and it was likely she would get a custodial sentence.
