A MAN was kicked in an attempted robbery in Worcester.

A man in his 40s was walking when he was approached by an unknown man who asked for money.

The man then demanded he hand over his wallet but the victim refused to give it to him.

The man is said to have kicked the victim in Tolladine Road before making off towards the town centre.

West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place near to the lower junction of Rose Avenue, around 10.10pm on Friday, October 13.

Police are looking for a man who is white, in his early 20s, clean shaven, between 5ft10in tall and 6ft tall, with short brown hair, and was thought to be wearing a blue padded jacket.

Officers believe a number of cars drove past during the attempted robbery and they are keen for anyone who saw it to come forward.

They would also like to speak to people who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously or who was in the area at the time.
