YOUNGSTERS at a school near Worcester raised more than £400 with a charity cake sale.

Abberley Hall School, based at Great Witley, recently hosted the event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

School marketing director Victoria Beswick said: "We set up four stalls at different locations throughout the school and there was a huge selection of delicious goodies on sale, including tray bakes, decorated cup cakes, biscuits, sponges and muffins.

"It was a very successful day and everyone enjoyed baking, buying and eating all the cakes, which were also sold to staff and parents when they came to collect their children.

"Everyone was very generous in their donations, meaning that we collected a substantial amount of money for such a good cause."

Abberley Hall School, which educates more thank 250 pupils ages two to 13, arranges a series of events involving pupils and parents throughout the year to raise money for different charities and causes.
