SIR – I went to the Worcester bus station and found absolute chaos – all the bus stations had been moved with no prior notification and very little indication within the station.

I had to ask a bus driver where my new station was (as there was noone else available) and he very courteously showed me and said there were notices up within the station.

When I looked there they were – hardly noticeable on a small piece of white paper and even the new stations had makeshift number plates which could hardly be read without glasses.

It is bad enough that I read in the Worcester News that students would get a 10-minute service but the general travelling public would be reduced to two buses an hour – that means grown-ups who are perhaps not quite so nimble as students have to make do and will probably mean more cars on the roads too.

When will this dreadful bus company be called to account so that they stop treating people who rely on the buses with contempt.

Surely they could have put a full page spread in the News a week ago warning us this was going to happen as I used the buses on Saturday last and saw no indication of this whatsoever, and also on two occasion last week buses I went out for didn’t arrive at all – complete shambles! I feel sorry for the drivers.

Mrs B Yates,
