A HELPLINE has been set up to offer advice and support to flood victims.
Worcestershire County Council has urged residents to call 08456 031296 for help or advice about whether they should travel today.
Communications manager Simon Trickett said: "The same applies to council staff.
"You should make every effort to get into your place of work safely.
"We need all hands on deck to help us help the county recover from the affects of the flooding.
"The hard work and commitment shown by staff and volunteers from all the agencies involved in this operation has been exemplary and a good example of good community spirit."
Mr Trickett said the council has been working tirelessly since Friday afternoon with the district authorities and emergency services to deal with the devastation.
A number of rest centres have also been set up around the county to provide shelter, food and refreshments to people who are stranded.

Evesham Day Centre.
Pershore Day Centre.
Malvern Hills Day Centre.
Howbury House in Malvern.
Cherry Orchard Day Centre in Worcester.
Perryfields Day Centre in Worcester.
Unity house in Worcester city.
Timberdine Day Centre in Worcester.
