THE award-winning Powick Community Choir is set to return to Welland Church on Friday 10th November.
Since its last visit to Welland, this large four-part choir won the prestigious Judges Cup in this summer’s Upton-on-Severn Community Choir Competition.
The choir and professional string quintet will perform music and songs associated with Remembrance Day.
This includes a performance of The Long Road to Passchendaele, composed by the choir’s music director, Tom Wells.
This work for chamber orchestra was especially commissioned for the recent Worcester Chamber Orchestra Festival and was extremely well received by the festival audience.
Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30 pm, cost £10 and are available on the door, or in advance from Welland Stores.
