CHILDREN will soon be able to send their Christmas wish lists to Santa from Malvern Tourist Information Centre, whilst also raising money for charity.

The Victorian-style post box will be open from Monday, November 13, until Monday, December 18, at the centre in Church Street, Great Malvern.

Letters can be posted with the purchase of a special £1 stamp. All children will then receive a personal reply and a small gift from Father Christmas, straight from the North Pole.

All proceeds from the letters will be donated to Acorns Children's Hospice.

The campaign has been running since 2003, and since then the team at Malvern TIC have raised a grand total of £2306.25 for the hospice.

Cllr David Chambers, leader of Malvern Hills District Council, said: “We are really pleased to be holding this lovely tradition for children once again. Acorns Children’s Hospice provides care and services for children, young people and their families, and we are proud to support such a worthy charity.”
