A NEW budget shop will be opening in the city tomorrow.
Poundstore will open its doors in the former Poundland premises, in St Martin’s Quarter next to Costa Coffee, at 10am tomorrow.
The Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Steve Mackay, will be attending with the Mayoress, Alison Mackay, to officially open the store and a day of activities is planned.
To kick start the opening, volunteers from New Hope Worcester will take part in a trolley dash before the store opens to win the products as donations to the beneficiaries of the charity.
Special officers worth £3,000 will be available to the first in the queue.
The first five will receive a Hyundai black curved fireplace, the next 10 customers will grab themselves a double faux leather bed, the next 15 customers will receive a glass TV stand, and the last 175 customers will have an affordable washable shaggy rug.
There will also be free games and prize giveaways throughout opening day.
Gerry Loughran, managing director, said: “Worcester is the 18th PoundStore to open in just over one month.
"We look forward to welcoming the people of Worcester and serving them amazing value for money.”
