A WANTED man has been jailed for multiple shoplifting offences and making threats.
Glyn Taylor, aged 36, of no fixed abode was arrested in Church Street, Evesham on November 10 following an appeal by West Mercia Police which appeared in the Worcester News and attracted a positive response from readers.
Taylor appeared in Worcester Magistrates Court on November 13 for a string of offences in Evesham.
He admitted the following matters: a £12 theft from Morrisons on October 24; the theft of four bottles of vodka from Aldi, also on October 24; a £40 theft from One Stop Shop the following day: a £108 theft from Tesco Express on November 1; a £65 theft from Pep and Co on November 5; a theft of vodka from Aldi on November 8; a £60 theft from Pep and Co on November 9 and a £39 theft from Home Bargains on November 10.
He was also convicted of two section four public order offences (threatening behaviour) on November 8 in Aldi and another the following day at Pep and Co.
Magistrates jailed him 26 weeks in total. The sentence was made up of two consecutive 12 week sentences for the public order offences (24 weeks) and two weeks for the thefts to be served consecutively (26 weeks).
