A WOMAN in her 20s was hurt after the car she was driving hit a tree near Malvern this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision between a collision was Ford Fiesta and a tree, in Callow End, near Malvern, at about 8.30am on Thursday, November 16.

West Midlands Ambulance Service treated the woman for abrasions to her knees.

She did not require hospital treatment and was discharged at the scene.

A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) crew in Malvern and West Mercia Police attended the scene.

HWFRS said no one was trapped as a result of the smash.

West Mercia Police spokesman said: "A single lane was closed as a result of the collision but was reopened shortly after."
