SPORTS stars of the future took to the track for an annual school sports day.
About 800 pupils from Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College got involved in the event, which took place at Nunnery Wood Sports Centre in Worcester.
PE teacher Charlotte Keys said the rain didn't dampen spirits, but did lead to the cancellation of the tug of war and javelin events.
She said: "We had a really good day and the pupils all seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was good to see them out getting fit and I think we have a few sports stars of the future among them."
Pupils took part in track events, such as the 100m sprint and 1,500 long distance run, as well as field events such as discus and shot putt.
