A FOOD blogger scooped two trophies at the Worcestershire Hour Social Media Awards.

Victoria Cronin, who reviews restaurants within an hour's drive of Worcestershire on her blog Pershore Patty, was nominated for ‘best use of social media by a new business’ and ‘best business blog’ awards.

Miss Cronin started the blog in January 2017 after she was persuaded by friends and family to write about her food adventures and chose the title Pershore Patty after her hometown of Croome, near Pershore and love of burgers.

With nearly 1,700 followers on Twitter, the blog has become a go-to for those needing a recommendation.

She said: "When I was notified that I had been nominated, I couldn’t have imagined having a chance against some of the other businesses I was up against.

"Unfortunately I was unable to attend the awards evening in person, but found out the next morning that I’d in fact won silver in the ‘best business blog’ category and had won the award for gold in the ‘best use of social media’ category."

Through her blog, Miss Cronin was invited by chef David Everitt-Matthias to work at his two Michelin-starred restaurant ‘Le Champignon Sauvage’ in Cheltenham.

She regularly shares food reviews in WR Magazine and wrote an article encouraging visitors to Pershore in Worcestershire NOW magazine.

She said: "It was a shame not to have a photo to share from the evening, but I had some taken in The Walled Gardens at Croome Court, which is owned by my family and is very much a big part of the inspiration for my blog."
