A NIGHTCLUB boss has appeared in court charged with a sexual assault and drugs offences.

Darren Pinches, aged 51, owner of Bushwackers and Browns appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday) where he was charged with one count of sexual assault on a female and one count of administering a substance with intent to stupefy/overpower to allow sexual activity.

The charges are in connection with an incident in Worcester on January 1, 2017.

He was also charged with possessing a controlled drug of class A - cocaine - following an incident in Fernhill Heath on January 13, 2017.

Pinches of Fernhill Heath will next appear at Worcester Crown Court on February 1.

Darren Pinches said he strenuously denies the allegations and will enter a not guilty plea at the first opportunity.

The Pinches family own Sin in New Street, Browns at the Quay, and Bushwackers in Trinity Street.
