A DELIVERY man was taken to hospital after he was dragged from his van by two men in Bromsgrove.

The car jacking took place at around 8.25pm on January 11 on the A38, between Lydiate Ash and Bromsgrove.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was in the process of a delivery when two unknown men are reported to have forcefully removed the man from the vehicle.

The men have then taken the victims' phone and have driven off in the vehicle.

They then took the victim's phone and drove off in his van, despite the man trying to stop them.

The victim was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

Detective Inspector Gerry Smith of West Mercia Police, said: "We are taking this incident very seriously as the car was taken by force from the victim.

"As a result of the vehicle being taken, the car boot had been opened and due to this the vehicle would've been distinctive to anyone who may have seen it being driven.

"The vehicle, a grey VW Passat Estate, was driven along the A38 Birmingham Road towards junction 1 of the M42.

"If you saw this vehicle or anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time, I would urge you to get in touch as a matter of urgency."

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 645s of 11 January 2018.
