A RESIDENT has criticised "unacceptable" amount of litter in Warndon.

Aaron Jenkins was particularly critical of the level of dog poo bags strewn in an alleyway between Langdale Drive and Windermere Drive.

Worcester City Council said they had not had any complaints about the litter, but that the alleyway is cleaned once every two weeks.

Mr Jenkins said: "The alleyway between Langdale Drive and Windermere Drive, people think it is acceptable to sling poo bags under the tree, something needs to be sorted.

"This is unacceptable, those are just a few pictures and there is more littering further up leading through Ennerdale Close as well.

"Under the tree are loads of dog poo bags slung instead of in the bin because pet owners think it is ok to do this when many times there have been adverts on TV about littering."

A Worcester City Council spokesman said: “We are sorry to hear reports of litter problems in this alleyway.

"Our team litter picks in Windermere Drive and the surrounding streets once a fortnight, and we empty the dog and litter bins three times per week. "Not clearing up after your dog is an offence which can attract an £80 fine – we urge dog owners to do the right thing by always putting dog poo bags in the nearest bin.”
