THIEVES stole a purse from an elderly woman's handbag as they asked her for a charity donation.
Two women in their 20s approached the woman in St Andrew's Square on Thursday (January 11) and asked for a donation towards a deaf charity.
One of the women thanked the elderly woman by putting her arm around her.
It is believed during that moment they they stole her purse.
The two women are described as eastern European and wearing dark clothes with black hair tied in a ponytail.
Police say this type of distraction theft has happened around Droitwich and in Worcestershire before.
They are asking people to be vigilant and to intervene if they see someone is being targeted and to then call the police.
