MANOR Park junior squash ace Dominic Bayley tackled the prestigious British Junior Open.
After rapidly improving his game and winning several tournaments throughout 2017, the hard-working 14-year-old from Malvern won 3-0 in the first round at the University of Birmingham but had a tough second match against the eventual runner-up.
Bayley recovered to win his third game 3-0 but lost out to long-term rival Jake Wilde in his final match.
However, two wins at the major event should move him into the top 30 of under 15s players in the country.
