POLICE are searching for a prisoner after he went missing from HMP Hewell over the weekend.

Mustafa Farrah, aged 30, was convicted of drug offences in August 2016.

He was reported missing from the Redditch prison on Saturday, January 13, after he failed to attend the afternoon roll call.

Farrah has links to Cardiff, London and Sheffield and has been described as black, with short black hair, around 6ft tall and slim.

Inspector Craig Harris said: "We have no information to suggest that Mustafa Farrah is a threat to the general public, however we are working closely with HMP Hewell and other agencies to ensure that he is returned to custody as soon as possible."
