GRITTERS will be out in force across Worcestershire tonight as temperatures continue to plummet.

Temperatures are expected to drop to -5°C overnight, and it will be cold with mainly clear skies, light winds, and a widespread frost.

Some patches of freezing fog may form through the early hours in some low lying areas.

Sleety snow on low ground with road temps falling below zero afterwards. Gritters will be out from 6pm and after as required."

A yellow warning for snow and ice was issued early this morning and a light dusting of snow covered most of the county.

On Wednesday it will be cold and bright with some sunshine, but it will turn cloudier through the afternoon with some outbreaks of rain overnight.

There will be a maximum temperature of 4°C.
