TWO specialist cancer nurses from Worcestershire Royal Hospital will be taking to the skies for a sponsored skydive in aid of St Richard's Hospice.

Friends Clementine Stott and Suzy Parker signed up to do the dive after seeing the benefit the services at St Richard's Hospice provide their patients.

The two cancer ward sisters work closely with the hospice in offering personalised support to cancer patients from across the county.

Ms Stott said: "We’ve always talked about doing something for the hospice, as it plays such a big part in the lives of so many of our patients.

"I heard that St Richard’s wanted people to do a sponsored skydive in their name, and I knew at once that Suzy and I had to go for it.

"We're partners in crime, both a bit crazy and I don’t think any colleagues or patients who know us will be surprised that we’ve decided to do this.

“We’re not feeling too nervous just yet, but as the days creep by we’re definitely going to be feeling the anxiety – which is only natural I suppose, considering we’re going to be launched out of a plane at 10,000 feet.”

The skydive will take place later this year.
