CAN anyone help the Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society find a life-size model of a ‘milky white cow’ for its next musical production of Into the Woods?
The WODS version of the hit musical will be staged from April 17 to April 21 April, at the Swan Theatre.
But first of all, a suitably statuesque bovine must be found.
A spokesman for WODS said: “A very exciting and talented cast had been selected for this multi-award winning musical, which had been adapted into a popular Disney film just a few years ago.
“The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child; Cinderella who wishes to attend the King’s ball and Jack, who wishes only that his cow would give milk. To fulfil their wish they all set off on a precarious journey unlike any other, meeting witches, princes, wolves and a giant along the way! The Witch will grant the Baker and his wife their wish for a child if they can produce four important ingredients for a magic potion, including ‘a cow as white as milk’.”
And there moos the problem.
