A Tweet by @HWFireControl said: "@HWFireWorcs extinguished a fat fryer at a #Worcester city centre pub."
A spokesman for The Old Greyhound said that it had been a "little electrical fault" which the fire service had been called to as a precaution. The pub did not need to close at any point.
